Worcester Warriors V Saracensgallagher Premiership

Billy Walker will move to Nottingham Rugby in the summer.

The 22-year-old joined the Saracens Academy as an Under-14 and progressed through the age groups to the senior squad.

He made his debut for the club against Newcastle Falcons in the 2016/17 Anglo-Welsh Cup and has enjoyed loan spells at Bishop Stortford, Old Albanian and Bedford Blues to continue his development.

Prior to his first outing for the Men in Black, Walker won the 2016 World Rugby U20 Championship with England and credits the Saracens medical staff for helping him recover from a ruptured plantar plate to make the tournament.

The tighthead, who has also studied a Business Planning Foundation degree through the Personal Development Programme, departs Allianz Park in search of regular game time.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Billy all the best for the future.

He said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at Saracens. I have some great memories to take away with me and some friends for life.

“Moving to Nottingham gives me a chance to play regular first team rugby and I’m looking forward to it.”

Director of Rugby Mark McCall added: "We would like to thank Billy for his contribution to our club and we wish him all the best in the future."

The Interview | Emma Hardy

It’s been a fine start to life in a Saracens shirt for summer recruit Emma Hardy.  Formally of Loughborough Lightning, Hardy has impressed in her opening two outings in a Saracens shirt, as she adjusts to her new surroundings in NW4.  A brutal pre-season period was certainly not the most pleasant of welcomes to life […]
