Saracens is delighted to announce that Andy Christie has signed a new contract with the club.

The back-rower has shown enormous promise since bursting on to the scene in 2018, and recently captained the first team during the Premiership Rugby Cup campaign.

The 22-year-old has already made 33 appearances at the base of the scrum and has been learning from the likes of Jackson Wray, Billy Vunipola and Ben Earl who all have vast experience.

Christie, who scored in the European opener against Edinburgh spent the summer of 2018 in New Zealand to further his rugby education, and then he was selected for England Under-20s against the Junior Springboks in April 2019.

The exciting talent is delighted to have put pen to paper at StoneX Stadium.

“I couldn’t be happier to continue my career at Saracens. I love the club and the people here and I know there’s nowhere better for me to develop.”

Director of Rugby Mark McCall is pleased that Christie will be remaining in North London for the foreseeable future.

“Andy is a player that we are very excited about so we are delighted that he has extended his stay at Saracens.

He has shown real progression over the last 18 months and we firmly believe he can fulfil his potential in the seasons ahead.”

The Interview | Emma Hardy

It’s been a fine start to life in a Saracens shirt for summer recruit Emma Hardy.  Formally of Loughborough Lightning, Hardy has impressed in her opening two outings in a Saracens shirt, as she adjusts to her new surroundings in NW4.  A brutal pre-season period was certainly not the most pleasant of welcomes to life […]
