Saracens can today confirm that Sean Reffell will be leaving the club at the end of the season to join Ulster Rugby.

The 23-year-old has made 39 appearances for the club since graduating from the academy, and went on to become the Young Player of the Season last year after his displays in the Greene King IPA Championship.

The back-rower, who made an astonishing 39 tackles in one match back in 2019 will be heading to the Kingspan Stadium at the end of the season for a new challenge.

Reffell praised everyone at the club for their influence on his career.

“I am incredibly grateful to the club for all the help and opportunities they have given me over the years. From the staff to the players there is a great environment which I have really enjoyed being a part of.

I am excited for the future at Ulster and to get stuck in to the challenges ahead.”

Director of Rugby Mark McCall thanked Reffell for his effort in the Black and Red shirt.

“Sean is a player that we are sad to say goodbye to but, of course, we wish him all the best for the next part of his career at Ulster."
