Alex Lewington staying at Saracens
Saracens is excited to announce that Alex Lewington has signed a new contract with the club.
The winger is a prolific try-scorer, having crossed the line 27 times in 73 appearances for the Men in Black.
The 30-year-old signed for Sarries from London Irish back in 2018 where he had earned the reputation as one of the best finishers in the league, and he has backed that up since arriving at StoneX Stadium.
Lewington has taken on a more senior role in recent years and is part of the leadership group at the club, meaning he will continue to add his significant value moving forward.
“I’m really pleased to have signed on for another couple of years at Saracens. It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey during my time so far but I’ve enjoyed it all.
There’s a great group of lads here who I love playing with and can’t wait to try to achieve more success with!” Said Lewington.
Director of Rugby Mark McCall is pleased to have secured his services for another two seasons.
“Alex is a very valuable member of our group and is an outstanding role model for our younger players.
He continues to perform to a high level on the field and has become an increasingly influential figure at the training ground. We are delighted Lewy has chosen to continue his time at the club.”
