Sporting pedigree is in Rosie Galligan’s family, with her dad, Tim, a coach at Aylesford RFC and her mum, Holly, a former England Under-21s captain at hockey.

Galligan made her England debut in the 2019 Six Nations.

Her older brother Henry and younger brother Charlie also both represent Kent in their age groups at rugby, as Galligan herself did after discovering a love for the game at a touch tournament with friends one summer.

She broke into the first team during the successful 2017/18 season, her performances earning her selection to the England U20 squad.

The lock continued to impress in 2018/19 and she earned her first full England cap in the 2019 Women’s Six Nations against Ireland.

Galligan played a starring role in Sarries’ 33-17 Tyrrells Premier 15s final win over Harlequins Ladies in 2019, having come off the bench in the 17/18 final.
